- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp. Spectrum® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 ½ cup Arrowhead Mills® Long Grain Brown Rice
- ¼ tsp. Hain® Sea Salt
- ½ tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 cups Imagine® Low Sodium Chicken or Imagine® Vegetable Broth
- In a heavy saucepan cook bay leaves with olive oil over a moderate heat, turning occasionally until leaves are lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and sauté until lightly golden about 2 minutes.
- Add rice, salt and pepper, stirring occasionally.
- Add broth and bring to full boil, uncovered over high heat. Cover with a lid and cook until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, about 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
